Dr. Erin Elster is the originator and sole practitioner of Atlas Neural Alignment™, her cutting-edge protocol for trauma-induced neurological disorders. With 25 years of clinical experience treating over 5000 patients, she has documented the efficacy of her ANA™ protocol in ten publications, showing approximately 90% improvement or elimination of symptoms in trauma-induced neurological disease cases, including cases of migraine and cluster headaches, vertigo disorders, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease. In 2020, motivated by her extraordinary and reliable results, Dr. Elster departed private practice to pursue related experimental research full time.
Education
Dr. Elster’s stellar academic career began with a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1991; followed by a D.C. magna cum laude from the renowned Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1996; her selection, for academic excellence, as a Presidential Scholar and a Pi Tau Delta Honor Society Member; and finally, a post-graduate internship with the International Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association.
History
Dr. Elster’s career interest in holistic healthcare began at an early age, instigated by her own and her brother’s childhood health issues. Later, she was inspired by a graduate school lecture that introduced her to an obscure healing method innovated in the 1920’s by Dr. B.J. Palmer, a method involving the top bone in the spine called the atlas vertebra. Dr. Elster envisioned the healing potential of his discovery, now a “lost art,” and turned her focus to the study, practice, and development of this compelling approach.
When Dr. Elster began her private practice in the late 1990’s, she observed a consistent correlation, in her patients, between their recollection of traumatic impacts to the head or neck (brain injury, concussion, whiplash) – through athletics, motor vehicle accidents or falls – and the subsequent onset of their neurological ailments, such as migraine headaches and multiple sclerosis. Since many other medical researchers reported observing this same connection, Dr. Elster hypothesized that the missing causal link could be injury to the atlas vertebra. Thereafter focusing her patient treatment on the atlas vertebra, she was astounded by the multitude of chronic, severe neurological disorders that completely resolved, and her Atlas Neural Alignment™ protocol was born.
Research
Between 2000 and 2009, Dr. Elster published ten papers documenting the correlation between her patients’ traumatic impacts (brain injury, concussion, whiplash) and their onset of neurological disorders; describing her Atlas Neural Alignment™ protocol; and demonstrating her groundbreaking results in approximately 90% of trauma-induced neurological disease cases she treated. Ailments typically considered incurable showed unmatched improvement or elimination of symptoms. Her publications won her “Researcher of the Year” status in 2001 and hundreds of new patients, who journeyed to her practice from around the world.
During her practice years, Dr. Elster continued to expand her ANA™ protocol, applying it to additional trauma-induced neurological disorders, including cervical dystonia, trigeminal neuralgia, fibromyalgia, post-concussion syndrome, Tourette syndrome, temporal arteritis, essential tremor and more. Achieving international recognition as an expert in the treatment of trauma-induced neurological disorders, Dr. Elster departed private practice in 2020 to focus upon her research full time with the goal of reaching many more patients with her innovative therapeutic approach.
